Christ, I know I have to do a computer course next winter, better get a photography class on the agenda as well....... anyway, Mathieu and Camille put up the new shelves this week. This one element really changes the feel of the store. It's cleaner for one thing (less stuff on the floor). Looks really sharp. I dunno, it makes it more professional in here. One of the best things about this space is that you can continually make changes without a huge amount of hassle or cost. People will notice b/c the space is small. In a larger space, it might get lost. Not too much happening on the community-work front. Getting geared up for a BIA related property owners meeting at the end of August. There's a little BIA related nervousness in the community, some people are worried that it will have too much power, power that will be misused. Well, there have been Kensington associations in the past that have abused power and neighbourhood dollars...........at least with a BIA there's a system in place to deal with financial accountability. Besides, this area has been built on and is identified by commercial activity. The business people in this neighborhood deserve an association that works alongside the city to maximize its potential. |
