Traffic has been a little slow this week, but the store looks great, just finished rearranging.
There's a ton of tasks to take care of ie. designer payment/end-of-the-month stuff, sending the etsy flyer out, cleaning through older stock........
This years store CD of local bands is slowly coming together. So far the list includes The Two Koreas, The Outfit, No Dynamics, The Patients......it can be tiring chasing after artists!! I was hoping to have it done by the end of the month, we'll see. Proceeds this year are going to Sketch, a local not-for-profit that provides arts programs for streetkids.
Had a BIA meeting this week; we came up with a strategy to get us to the Public Meeting in October (when the 'hood decides whether or not to go ahead with a poll to determine if a BIA is formed). I know I have to be careful with the extracurricular activity, it takes time/energy I SHOULD be putting into the store. So I've decided that I'm only allowed to work on that stuff outside of store hours (unless there really isn't anything else pressing to be done, or much customer activity around.........) |
