| PS Kensington isn't soooo bad........ |
Today hasn't been torture, great! There hasn't been too many PS Kensington related events near the store (well, just badminton, now Nigel is playing a snare and high hat and someone's on guitar), so it's been pretty peaceful. Walking down Augusta I noticed a bunch of residences putting out stuff to sell; these Sundays are kinda turning the market into a big yard sale. So in the spirit of yard sale, I put a bunch of stuff out front with '$8' written in chalk on the stone out front.
So I mentioned b4 that SUN TV was thinking about setting something up with us to clothe a host or 2....Tara Slone (of Joydrop/Rockstar INXS fame, now host of Inside Jam) stopped by to check out the store today. She's really down to earth and lovely. I guess she was getting money to buy stuff for her show, but they want to change things up, support some locals (yay!). She bought a top, hopefully we'll see her again.
Tomorrow I'm throwing a big meeting for area property owners (yep, the old BIA again). Michael Saunders will do a presentation, Neil Wright (Chair, Harbord BIA) will talk about 15 yrs. experience with his BIA, Councillor Vaughan is slated to be there. My dear friend Sheila will chair, I'm very excited at the prospect of running a meeting with her. I really have no idea how many people will turn up. I know there is anti-BIA sentiment around, but so far it seems to be based on inaccurate information.
Hopefully the legendary market personalities will show up, I'd be disappointed if there wasn't any yelling........ |
