Seasons changing at The Rage

Since when is it October?

Ok so that crept up on us rather quick… but you know what October means, right?

HALLOWE’EN

The most fun time of the year! This month at The Rage we are featuring our super popular $2 and P.W.Y.C (Pay What You Can) bins, all full of crazy vintage clothes and assorted fabrics perfect for building your Halloween costumes!

Here are a few ideas for costumes from what I can see in the bins: aerobics instructor, rocker, prom queen, grandma or bag lady, 80’s kid, business wo/man, hippie and more!

And just add blood to any of these to make a ZOMBIE costume!

We are restocking the bins EVERY WEEK until Hallowe’en so make sure you stop by for some sweet deals and while you’re here make sure you get a good look at the amazing clothing and accessories we’ve got going on for fall!

Much love

Pretty Pony - NEW STUFF YAY!

Hello all!

There are tons of new Pretty Pony accessories at the Rage, and they're definitely statement pieces! And, with some of the necklaces starting at only $20, they're not going to bleed your bank account dry either!

These are two of the smaller brooches we carry. They are $20 and come in a variety of colours. There are also larger brooches for $28. Brooches are the perfect way to dress up a boring blazer or give some new life to an old hat!

These two necklaces remind me of Snow White. There's the magic mirror necklace (also available in white) for $35, which includes an actual mirror. The second pictured is a locket where you can put a tiny picture of someone or something special! It's $40 and worth every penny!

All items are by Pretty Pony. Come get 'em while the picking's good!

It's getting cold outside!

Wow, Toronto! I'm doing a double-take. Less than a week ago, I battled through feels-like 40 temperatures as I moved into a new apartment, sweaty and tired. Now, I find myself huddling under sweaters and pulling all of my jeans out from their hiding place. Oh well. There is an advantage to this drastic weather change - FALL CLOTHES!! We have a few really great jackets to stave off the cold. The first is the reversible Embody jacket. Above is the grey side, which is a little more dressy. The other side is denim, which, as everyone knows, goes with everything. I paired the jacket with lots of colour because I don't think that colour goes away with the weather! The yellow is a great way to keep sunshine in your life!

Embody Coat - 92.50
Kelly Ruth skirt - 36
J. Hoddibody shirt - 49
Alicia Mansillo purse - 45

The second item I'm showing is a departure from the pretty, preppy look of the first outfit. It's by Rejected and I imagine a cool chick wearing it while going to a concert. It's extra long too, so it will keep your butt warm!

Rejected Sweater - $75
Vicki Nerino purse - $75
1 inch pins - 3 for $5

Embody Fall Clothes - 50% off!!!

$42.50

CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP! Are those birds? NO! It's the sound of ridiculously underpriced clothing from Embody. These fall pieces will be great with the imminent departure of the warmth (it was nice while it lasted!). They're from last season, but they're all so original that nobody will know except for your wallet!

$92.50

The two coats above are great, aren't they? The thing is, it's actually just one awesome reversible coat. The assymetrical zipper gives it a funky edge, but the solid colouring on both sides make it a practical addition to your wardrobe. It comes in a number of different colours, so get 'em while they're hot!

$45

We have a bunch of these bright sweaters too! They'll definitely start conversations!

Looking forward to seeing you!

Obsessed with Alicia Mansillo bags!

This morning, when I came to work after a one-week hiatus (I went to Vancouver!), I looked around the store to see what new things we had and I saw stunning new handbags. Now, I must admit, I love shopping and new things. As such, I decided that I wouldn't touch them or look too carefully at them. However, when I looked at the chores I had for the day, one was to photograph them for our Facebook page. Fate, surely! Luckily for me, when I took a deep breath and went to check the price, I realized that these beautiful bags are all under $49! Now, I may sound like I'm exaggerating, but my new green bag with the pink lining knows better!

I really cannot praise Alicia Mansillo's bags enough. They are handmade, but they have a professional finish. They are practical, yet they are also fun. With the hobo style I got, you open the bag and you can see everything inside of it. I'm truly in love.

Alicia's bags are mostly large, and they range in price from $35-$49. Although I have only had my bag for a few hours, I've had enough bags to know that this one will last a while, especially with the reinforcement along stress points and the attention to detail. Also, they have pockets inside for easy-to-lose items like a cell phone or change purse.
I love the lining in Alicia's purses. I think this paisley-ish is my favourite lining, but I love the bright pink that lines my green purse as well. Although the green will translate well with my fall wardrobe, every time I open it I'll be reminded of spring and summer! Anyhow, I think my recommendation for one of Alicia Mansillo's bags is apparent, so stop by and check them out for yourself!

Sale time!
Hey guys! Now that we're in August, Sarah decided to make Rage stuff even more ridiculously affordable than before! Right now, all clothes are 25% off, and there are some things that are marked down even lower!

All SNAP! items, like the dress pictured above, are now only $10. So many of the pieces are great for summer and they are all super unique!

All Embody items are majorly discounted. We have a large amount of the shirt pictured above. It's super cute with the accents around the waist and armbands, and at only 27.50, it's a major steal!

The top here is also Embody and looks great on all sorts of bodies. It's also reversible and is marked down 50% to only $33! The headband and pants were $1 and $5 respectively out of the vintage bin, but after I took this picture for the blog, I decided that I wanted both! There's still a ton of vintage outside though and it is a ton of fun to pick through!

Embody reversible hipster belts are now only $10! Amazing colours to turn an outfit from blah to wow!

In other news, I just wanted to show off the tattoo that our very own Jim got, based off of the Robin Richardson necklace that is shown here. The tattoo was done at Pearl Harbour on Kensington Ave. Jim plans to get a second, matching one on the other arm this week!

Anyhow. Stop by and check out the sales! Much love,

J, M and S

Nothing but Rage

Hello Ragers! I haven't posted a blog in a while, so today I thought I would just write about random Rage stuff instead of anything in particular. Above is the Rose that we got as a present from the girls at Good Blood, Bad Blood. It's a sign of appreciation for Sarah letting them use the Rage's ladder.

This is our Rage mascot, of course. She always looks so effortlessly cool, like, "Hey, I don't wear clothes. So what? Clothes are for squares!" Haha.

We're selling some of our hangers. They're a dollar each, but if you want to come buy multiple multiple ones to replace the crappy dollar store plastic ones you have chilling at home, we might be able to strike you a deal. They are awesome and easy to finger space, if you're obsessive compulsive with your personal closet :P

Sarah and I have come to the conclusion that this mannequin looks seductive and leggy leaning up in the corner. Not bad for a chick who has no legs!

This is our outside vintage collection, also known as my new obsession. There are two bins full of the coolest clothes for only $5 a piece. I was excited enough by this, but then when I asked Sarah where she'd scored all the wicked vintage stuff, she told me that it used to belong to her boisterous Italian grandmother! I've come to the conclusion that she is the coolest person I'll never meet and I have to stop myself from taking all of it! Come by and check it out!

Much love to all Rageians!

Madeline (and Sarah and Jane share the sentiment too, of course!)
