Bye Camille |
If you had the opportunity to meet Camille (Rage manager, 2008), you know exactly why it sucks so hard that she's gone.
Back to France, avec Mathieu.
I don't even know what to say. People ask, seemingly expecting, even wanting me to breakdown. This is the first time my relationship and love with someone has been public, it feels strange/unfamiliar that the loss should be as well.
She's a once-in-a-lifetime thing, no question. Never had a friend, let alone a workmate, that didn't just keep up with me, but pushed me. Instead of teasing me for wanting to make/build/imagine/implement and invent, she was always right there, ready to not only work the idea to make it better, but to make sure the idea became reality.
She could make anyone feel that they were the most special person in the world, and made me feel that way, every time.
Camille and Mathieu leaving Toronto marks the end of an era, no question. How appropriate that as they prepared to go, I began preparing to move the store, right across the street to #2 Kensington Ave.
Sometimes you can be conscious of development, sometimes the universe decides when it's time for growth.
Definitely in pain. |
