The Rage Rides for Aids in Africa |
We love getting stupid in here, so hey, even better when it's for a cause as huge as the Aids problem in Africa. The Stephen Lewis foundation set up an amazing nationwide campaign called 'A Dare To Remember'. The concept is for people to come up with an idea then collect sponsors who 'DARE' them to execute. Jack Layton did some busking on the Danforth, KAOS went back to his old job at the toy department at The Bay.....I thought it'd be fun to put on an elephant-like get-up for a day, then charge around downtown on my board for a bit!
On Dare Day many customers learned of the campaign and some chucked in pocket change (thanks guys!) The ride was a blast (ALWAYS is), I do love confusing people! I think many were unsure as to whether they were witnessing the lamest thing of all time, or the coolest heh heh.
The goal was to raise $1000 for the foundation, as it stands at this very second we're at $719!! So much love to all the friends, family and customers who pitched in, it's been such fun!
